The need
In order to simplify its communication and commercial relationship with its reseller network in a global and sustainable way, and to reduce the administrative tasks of order taking at the same time, Brother France decided in 2000 to provide its network with a professional extranet with the following objectives
- Offer quick access to information: products, promotions, news, technical documentation, drivers, etc.
- Enable real-time consultation of the product repository and spare parts inventory.
- Allow direct ordering of spare parts with secure online payment.
The solution
Thesupplier extranet developed by Avanteam allows Brother France's partners to access in real time a repository of more than 46,000 items, to build their order basket in an ergonomic way and to pay directly online.
The return on investment
For Dominique Bonnin - Brother's Project Manager, this site perfectly meets its objectives in terms of functionality, ergonomics and return on investment, thanks in particular to the following findings
- Reliability of information: a secured extranet allows to communicate in a reliable way the information on the products and stocks available and to avoid also errors of seizure or reference in the orders.
- Time saving: Automated, online order and invoice management saves time for both Brother and its customers.
- Network loyalty: each reseller has a personalized and secure access to the product and service lines and can consult the history of their orders and soon their processing status.
